St. Martin at the Charles Bridge
On November 11, 2024, join us for the traditional St. Martin’s procession on Charles Bridge! Legend has it that St. Martin brings the first snow on this day, riding across the bridge on a white horse pulling a wagon of snow. This celebration also honors the centuries-old tradition of feasting on goose, with many restaurants offering special goose menus. Stop by Křížovnické Square for a medieval market and enjoy free tours of the Charles Bridge Museum.
100th Anniversary of Kafka´s Death
Kafka’s work still reflects a society that has replaced physical contact with digital, leaving many young people feeling isolated. This year, Prague and the world are honoring Kafka with numerous exhibitions, theater shows, concerts, festivals, films, and gatherings, all reinterpreting his work from a modern perspective. The anniversary of his passing also lets us appreciate how Czech, German, and Jewish cultures shaped him. The Legend of the Golem
